Milano Wine Bar To Fill Two Boots Location Downtown

Owners of the new Milano wine bar and pizzeria on Wednesday were putting the finishing touches on a makeover of the space that had been occupied by Two Boots that closed a few months ago in Bijou Square on Fairfield Avenue Downtown. They anticipate a soft opening within a week.

Can Tiin, a French Vietnamese bistro on Fairfield Avenue, has closed, marking another recent casualty of the Bijou Square redevelopment Downtown. The Bijou Theatre and Two Boots Restaurant are also recent closures although a new restaurant is preparing to fill the Two Boots space shortly.

Bijou Theatre Plans To Shut Doors–”We Are All Devastated”

Bridgeport’s Downtown gem, the Bijou Theatre, a key component of a mixed-use redevelopment on Fairfield Avenue, will close its doors in a week, according to Christine Brown, who managed operations there for five years. A disappointed Brown says try as she may, rental and utility costs could not make the entertainment venue sustainable.
