  1. Paging leadership!!!!!! Another tragedy because office holders are asleep at the switch. Another examble of what Bridgeport’s police officers face over and over again because those in positions of power allow situations like this to occur leaving the men and women who are charged with protecting us in the a position to lose their lives.

  2. Like you Lisa I’m troubled by the recent shootings and loss of life. I’m equally troubled by, a “large uncooperative crowd.” We can’t continue to allow people to shot and kill our loved ones and not tell who the culprits are.

Telling on someone who shot our children, our establishments and our lives is Right, Moral and Just. It’s Not SNITCHING! Snitching is when you and I hold up a bank and I get caught and I tell them who you were! Telling on someone who takes another person’s life is what we all should be doing and until the people doing all the shooting knows this will happen, they’ll be more likely to shoot without regard. TELLING isn’t SNITCHING!

    1. Don, I guess COVID19 and mask are not required at Mango’z Sports Bar and that there is no undercover cops anymore.

Don, as you said and what Lisa was saying is what we all must do, telling on someone who takes another person’s life is what we all should be doing and until the people doing all the shooting knows this will happen, they’ll be more likely to shoot without regard. TELLING isn’t SNITCHING! If people are scare to cal the police then they should call their two elected council member and let them call the ploice for you other wise you are surely turning your community over to those thugs prey on your community.

  3. Right on Ron. How about those office holders be proactive? They know the terrain, work together to do whatever must be done to stop obvious tragedies before they happen instead of spouting what should have been done.

  4. An updated story in the CT Post said that the bars has closed an the location was being rented out as a “club”.
Let’s start there. The cops are aware of this. I am sure the neighbors are aware of this. So I am sure that the council people are aware of this or should be.
Lisa, would we tolerate this if we heard from our constituents way back when? Hell no.
We would be on the phone immediately with the precinct captain calling for a meeting.
This is the second time recently there was a killing in a club in the neighborhood.
    What are the cops doing?
And what is the Chief doing???
And what is the Common Council President doing?
Or is she too busy placing CC cop to be aware of what is going wrong in the city?

  5. And let’s ask again. Whatever happened to the study of the Bport Police Dept?
What is the Common Council doing? Having a group hug 🤗?
    Defunding the Bport Police Dept?
Where are we with neighborhood policing?
Why aren’t the police if they are aware of this situation going right in this club every night they see it open and checking it out.
The Police Dept is a disgrace. It is leaderless. The mayor is living in Easton. And I guess the council doesn’t give a damn. A terrible situation that is only going to get worse.
