  1. I’ll definitely be watching Lennie. The Over/Under is 14.5, the number of lies 45 tells in the first hour. The Over/Under on total lies is 20, so I’m betting the house on the Over for this one!

    1. Biden should win hands down right? He has the experience and expertise as a lifelong politician so he should dominate Trump without question. Biden should have any and all answers being that he’s been in office for a very long time right? He can draw on over 40 years of accomplishments right? He should be able to describe how, if he wins, he will strengthen the economy, get healthcare for all, heal the nation, prevent any future racism from occurring, halt any inequities to those who are disproportionately affected by anything, make the rich pay for whatever needs to be paid for, not raise taxes on lower income workers, fix our entire criminal justice system, open up the borders and supply the same benefits to undocumented people that American citizens have, eliminate the threat of Covid and other similar diseases in a timely fashion, and bring everyone together to go forward in peace and tranquillity. Among whatever else needs to be accomplished of course. Oh and let’s not forget that this will all be accomplished within reasonable budgetary constraints.
Hmmm. I’m swayed. Good thing I didn’t vote yet.
We’ll all be watching. If anything- Trump is always good for ratings!!!

  2. That was brutal to watch, just wow 🙂 Trump didn’t let me down, same with Hilary. Joe, on the other hand, surprised me, his cognitive was piont, but Trump is no Harris, who eat Joe up in the primary debates. I will tell you these debates are going to be worthless with these to old goats and are not going to move anyone. The VP debate should be interesting, with people with more than the demeanor of a Kindergartener.

P.S Fox new reported Telemundo polled Trump won the debate by 65% 🙂

    Get your votes out poeple.

  3. I bet the number of ratings for the number of people watching were through the roof but I doubt the next two will be. I certainly won’t be concerned if I miss them and I don’t think it matters anyway. People have long ago known who they’ll vote for.

  4. Biden coming out and admitting he would shut down the economy again was an interesting statement…I don’t think this country can survive another shutdown, the small buisnesses, restaurants, airlines, travel industries, etc, etc would be done…No matter what,we can’t close down again..Big mistake admitting that imo..

      1. Ron,I lost two good friends to this shit, and I certainly don’t want to lose anyone else, whether I know them or not..When I say we can’t have another shutdown,I’m thinking about the big picture…Having Restaurants,Deli’s,hotels, malls, store&.small buisnessess in general open with even half the normal people going to them is better than people losing everything. And the long term affect of not having the kids go to school will be devastating.Even for a couple days a week like it is now,is better than nothing.Alcoholism is skyrocketing, spousal abusive is off the charts, etc, etc. .And it will get much worse with another shutdown..
It’s not about Trump or Biden to me,they are both idiots imo…Please God, Bless us all..

        1. Harvey, first, I’m sorry to hear about your lost. Don said this about you and I agree when he said this, “Harvey, you seem to be a reasonably intelligent man” and my point is the President is on tape talking about COVID-19 saying that he knew how dangerous the virus was but he didn’t act on that information. When the scientists made a decision that social distancing, hand washing and wearing a mask but the President talked against the science because he wanted Wall Street and the stock market open to make him look good and he didn’t want any type of shut down. Harvey, what did that get us, over 200,000 dead Americans which is 20% of all of the death in the world and America is only 5% of the population in the world and growing. I wear my mask to protect others but the President of the United States makes jokes about people wearing a mask, the scientists still say the best way to fight COVID-19 is wearing a mask. Nobody wants a shut down but saving lives must come first.

          1. Thank you Ron,I appreciate it….Like I said,Trump is an idiot, and Biden just doesn’t seem up to the job imo…Our #’s here in CT have remained steady all summer, and into the fall so far. From what I see when I’m out and about people are taking wearing a mask very seriously.I think because we were hit so hard in the begining, people realize that masks help stop the spread somewhat.I’m glad most people ignored Trump’s advice…As far as shutdowns, most people are smart enough to take direction from the experts and at this point, ignore Trump,he’s just worried about getting re-elected…I think a more prudent approach is to leave it up to the individual states like we are doing now..

    1. Strong economies do not need a bailout.
In March 2020, the economy was so weak it required a $2 Trillion bailout.
Dems would be wise to brand that Trump-style socialism complete with industry-specific funds for the airline and cruise ship industries!
This is the first pandemic that crushed the global economy.

  5. Harvey, you seem to be a reasonably intelligent man so you should understand that you have to cure Covid-19 before you can cure the Economy. As long as Covid is killing people there is a very large segment of America that aren’t going to restaurants, bars, aren’t traveling and other activities that require people to be around large groups of other people. Harvey, how bad is it that Americans can’t travel abroad to a myriad of countries because we’ve become the Gold Standard of infections in the World.

It’s amazing how seemingly intelligent people can follow the advice of a damn fool even though they have to know better. I can’t understand how anyone could watch that debate and not be embarrassed by the actions of the president and at this time in American history, not be embarrassed to live in America. With all the racism, all the problems and all the hate I’ve endured for 70 years I can say for the 1st time in my life I’m embarrassed to be an American and I’ve never felt that way prior to this clown being president. C’mon Harvey, you have the President of the United States that paid NO TAXES. THE PRESIDENT PAID NO TAXES! That has to be the most unpatriotic shit I’ve ever heard in my life, including kneeling at a football game.

  6. Never underestimate the influence of Roger Stone on Donald Trump.
    Why?
Trump just pardoned him — he’s free — and Stone was instrumental in Nixon’s 1972 landslide victory.

  7. Don
I read this morning that Disney entertainment announced today layoffs of 28,000 employees mostly part time.
So here are just a few of the problems.
One 28,000 part time employees. Is this what the Trump admin is fighting for? Part time jobs? No benefits? Get 2 or 3 jobs and maybe you can make a living but still no bennies.
Don’t worry. There still Obama care. Until after the election and then Trump will tell you, Surprise. I have no plan to replace it.

  8. Before the first “Trump-Biden Confrontation” a/k/a a debate which it was not, the most impressive action on Tuesday was the release of a book WHERE LAW ENDS (Inside the Mueller Investigation) by Andrew Weissmann. The title of the book is from a saying by John Locke: “Where law ends, tyranny begins.” And Roger Stone and Paul Manafort appear by Page 9, of course. Twenty two more chapters with lots of good background explanations for those who may be interested in how such an investigation started, anyway, in terms of Federal process.

Yes, President 45 has “executive powers” and has likely crossed the line more than once but “we, the people” still have the power and responsibility at this time to express our wishes by being registered, keeping informed and voting.

Leaders can sell all their followers short (don’t want to share the COVID Truth as it will panic people). Leaders can fail to understand the way inadequate support after January 1, 1863 of all people with civil rights restored thereafter gradually has created a racial divide and inequality for far too long) and continue a journey of “male white supremacy” to stir chaos at locations where sanctioned protest is occuring then offering “military” resources to return the scene to orderly, but not peaceful. And finally we see a “law and order” executive who shows no respect for those who serve in uniform and lose their lives (as a coward who has avoided caring service to the public in any form that he bothers to share from his 75 years) and with millions of wealth (assets minus debts) and personal earned income annually to himself, his companies, or diverted to kids i and to charities (which begin at his home?) Trump is exposed! Reports of $750 of Federal Income taxes paid in each of two recent years, and no income taxes in most years of the last decade go unchallenged.

Perhaps he should make a best effort, though it may disturb his hallowed hairdo, by putting on his red cap, with his trumpeted saying MAKE AMERICA GREAT (AGAIN) and Substitute (EMIGRATE) instead? Donald, Make America Great, EMIGRATE? To Moscow, Beijing, Istanbul, your choice. Once there use your voice. Time will tell.

  9. Oh Please, comrade, what have you endured that didn’t stop you from achieving the American dream, owning a home, driving two Benz, pensioned from that country you are so embarrassed to live in?

If Trump wasn’t a moron he would have articulated it’s not about shutting down the country’s economy as a Gold Standard action to best address the crisis of Covid-19. But to explain how it varies among states, that are not experiencing the same cases or deaths due to Covid-19 that would warrant shut do all businesses? He gave the Governors the ability to address the crisis that best fits their state’s situation, and the resources to do so. I remember in the beginning the media bashed Trump for not wanting to buy the CDC test the were expensive that took over a week to process in a lab as not handling the crisis. Now they have 15 minutes test that needs no lab process. Where is this heading for the health care industry, who knows? The Feds spent trillions on supporting states, businesses, and families during this crisis. He signed an executive order extending unemployment insurance when the two parties failed to pass another trillion-dollar bill in support aid, He could have stated he didn’t want to create panic but took action by shutting down travel from China and was bashed in the press for it, took supportive steps on the back end to ensure America businesses and families makes it through this crisis is what he should have been expressing on that debate stage. Trump should have been coming out of this Covid-19 smelling like a rose, but he is such a moron. 🙂

To Comrade Ron’s point, 900,000 people die of Heart Decease each year. So it’s really not just about deaths. Yet, I watched a spectacle by our government, who host an event with state and local leaders, the health care industry in a part of town that’s known as a food desert for decades, praise a grant to fund what is basically a corner store that sells fresh food and vegetables., don’t have a problem with it, but if any reasonable person believes that is efficient to support a community of its deprive food needs is bloviating as that spectacle that took place under the tent and the governor and other state and local leaders.

That being said, to be fair, Harvey, if you think shutting down parts of the economy were devastating, just letting this virus ripe and takes is a course without any intervention would have destroyed it.

    On health care in America
To the R’s, you want an employee base private health care system you should mandate employers to proved coverage for their employees. Part of the problem is, employers are not providing it to their employees, and if the employer is not providing for it for their employees, then they surely are not paying them enough to buy it on their own. Because if you think Trump or businesses like (rich) will do whatever “legally’ to avoid paying taxes, they will do it to not pay the cost of providing health care, like parttime employment. It greed at its best, socialize the cost and privatize the profits. Because it lets the employer off the hook when employees retire and go on Medicare when people are at an age in life where they are most likely in need of health care

To the D’s, you want a taxpayer base health care system started by the government not paying private health care companies, who make a profit on taxpayers’ money, to provide health care for people who work for the government and are paid by taxpayers. Bernie’s, liberal progressives, why don’t you start with getting the government to stop paying private insurance companies taxpayers money and create a government insurance plan for all government employees.

If the R’s & D’s come together with:

A, requiring employers to provide coverages to their employees, which is part of their position, and B, Government employees health care plan (insurance) that’s provided to government employees, who employment is already funded by taxes, both sides win, and we the people can see who’s plan is better, cheaper for the American people.

P.S. if Trump wasn’t such a moron and Biden being in government for 1/2 a century he would’ve eaten Joe up like Harris did in the Democrat Primary debate. SJ People
