Bridgeport native John Ratzenberger, who wrote the foreword to my book Only In Bridgeport, says Linda McMahon is a force of nature. Ratz created and played wise-ass mailman Cliff Clavin on the television series Cheers. The way the polls are heading, Linda, who’ll spend $50 million, needs all the help she can get.

Bridgeport native John Ratzenberger, the bar know-it-all from Cheers and host of Made In America, will serve as celebrity judge for the Regional 2012 Rube Goldberg Machine Competition for High School Teams on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Discovery Museum, 4450 Park Avenue.
