New Additions To Amp’s Food Lineup

If you’re taking in Neil Young, Beach Boys, Bonnie Raitt, Sara McLachlan, Sammy Hagar and many other upcoming shows at The Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater, you’ll also enjoy new food options.

News release from The Amp:

The Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater season is just around the corner. The crew has been working all winter long to continue the tradition of offering the best of Connecticut food to our Amp audience. We recognize that the Amp is much more than a concert venue, it is a destination.

We are proud to welcome to our incredible food line up – Valencia Luncheria (empanadas, ceviche and ribs), Bridgeport’s own Sound Coffee (cappuccino, iced coffee and lattes), everyone’s favorite – Garden Catering (chicken nuggets and fries), and New York City’s Gotham Burger (smash burgers).

Returning for another season are Walter’s Hot Dogs with a Hoo Doo Brown chili dog collab, Liberty Rock Tavern serving up a new Chicken and Waffle cone, Jeff’s Amazing Kettle Corn, Hummel Bros. sausage and kielbasa cart, Lil Pub, Donut Crazy, Nate’s Lemonade, NY Prime Steak Truck, Nordic Fish, Freskos Greek, the Tasty Yolk, Una Dolce Vita with gelato and pizza and Be Chocolate, offering small batch ice cream, belgian waffles and of course, the finest chocolate in Connecticut. While our food selection has expanded greatly, we also pride ourselves in providing a multitude of gluten-free and vegetarian options.

“Attention to detail is the hallmark of the Amp,” said Howard Saffan, President of Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. “We are thrilled to offer these hyper local superstars to our food scene. When it comes to food at the Amp, there really is something for everyone.”

  1. It is always interesting to learn about “hyper local superstars to our food scene.”
To have this article posted for Amp customers runs counter to the claims that these customers do not just show up, park their vehicle, and attend a show. They also find something for everyone, per the article.
But how does that show up in LOCAL BRIDGEPORT businesses as revenues that pay rents, taxes, and support other local businesses? What tax dollars to BRIDGEPORT flow from Amp revenues, or these food revenues? Pragmatic? You bet. Why are the public relation voices of Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater so distant from financial realities as they tell their story to an audience that is likely distant from those who are kept in the dark about financial realities ongoing on City resources? Time will tell.
