Three weeks from the Democratic primary featuring the battle between Mayor Joe Ganim and John Gomes, absentee ballots are now available.
Both campaign camps are working early voting. Based on the number of absentee ballot application requests several thousand electors could vote via absentee.

State law has made it easier to vote by absentee. It is now legit for an elector to vote absentee simply by fearing illness on primary day, an offshoot of the Covid health scare.
Absentee ballot requests are processed by the Town Clerk’s office.
