Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will appear at the campaign headquarters kickoff for Democratic State Senate candidate Marilyn Moore on Saturday, 10 a.m., 908 Wood Avenue.
Moore is facing Trumbull Republican Town Councilman Rick Costantini in Connecticut’s 22nd Senatorial District that covers Trumbull and portions of Bridgeport and Monroe.
Moore defeated incumbent Anthony Musto in an August 12 primary. Wyman, a popular figure in state politics, has made several recent appearances in Connecticut’s largest city. Democratic Governor Dan Malloy faces a tough reelection battle from Republican Tom Foley.
Moore and Costantini, a Bridgeport native, have qualified for Connecticut’s Citizens Election Program of publicly financed races. Both will have a $95,000 grant to spend in the general election.
Moore, a healthcare professional, is executive director of the Witness Project, a breast cancer education support group. Costantini is an attorney.
