Back in the city voting saddle again on a rainy Monday morning, I suffraged early at the Margaret Morton Government Center in an advance of the August 11 Democratic primary, greeting resilient ground trooper school board vice chair Joe Sokolovic braving the weather to pitch his candidate for governor Josh Elliott challenging incumbent Governor Ned Lamont.
The other Dem race in Bridgeport, attorney Mark Bradley against incumbent Judge of Probate Paul Ganim, has certainly received more local fee media attention than the governor’s race given the Bradley campaign’s AI messaging fabrications as well as multiple state investigations into Bradley, a 20-year registered Republican in Massachusetts, who has voted simultaneously in Connecticut as a Democrat for eight years.
Ganim voted early as well, a convenient walk from his first-floor judicial office at the government center.
If you want to vote early the Morton Government Center, 999 Broad Street, Downtown, is the designated location for every eligible Bridgeport elector.

- Tuesday, August 4, 2026: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 5, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

- Friday, August 7, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 8, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday, August 9, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
