Today at our Senate Democrats press conference, I spoke about our priorities for this legislative session.
Earlier this week, I lost one of my mentors, Reverend Jesse Jackson. His life was a reminder that the fight for justice never stops.
At a time when there are attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and on affordable housing and education, we must stay focused. Education must be affordable. Opportunity must be protected. And people who look like me and every child in our communities deserve a fair shot.
We will not back down.
