Gaming expansion, sports betting, commercial marijuana, electronic tolls, education funding, municipal aid and more will be hot topics in the current session of the General Assembly.
State Rep. Steve Stafstrom, who was recently appointed House chair of the powerful lawmaking Judiciary Committee, will host a town hall forum Tuesday night 6:30 at the Burroughs Community Center, 2470 Fairfield Avenue.
“An open, honest and frank dialogue between voters and elected officials is essential for a responsive and effective government,” says Stafstrom. “Please join me on the 15th and bring thought about how we can work together to move Bridgeport, and all of Connecticut, forward.”
Stafstrom is one of eight members of Bridgeport’s legislative delegation that has emerged with more clout. The others are State Senators Marilyn Moore and Dennis Bradley and House reps Chris Rosario, Ezequiel Santiago, Andre Baker, Jack Hennessy and Charlie Stallworth.
Constituents can reach Stafstrom at Steve.Stafstrom@cga.ct.gov or 860-240-1371. Stafstrom’s district covers Black Rock, West Side and portions of the West End and North End.
I will try to be there. Hope to see some of you.
