Harry Weichsel was a pisser in the best sense: fun-loving, engaging, community-minded Bridgeport institution. He formed Grassroots Tennis of Bridgeport introducing a sport to inner-city youth that otherwise would have eluded them. Harry passed away last year at age 85.
On Thursday Mayor Joe Ganim, the family of Harry and City Council members hosted a ceremony to dedicate the Glenwood Park tennis courts in his memory.
