Foster Supporter Urges Vote For Person, Not Party

Former city resident Betsy Orman, state director of the American Family Coalition, shares why Mary-Jane Foster should be elected.

Vote beyond political party, let’s take back Bridgeport!

For the past several years my involvement with the city of Bridgeport has provided me access to one of its most committed, honest and capable citizens, Mary-Jane Foster, candidate for Mayor. I have observed her firsthand working tirelessly for this city. As a vice president at the University of Bridgeport she has helped transform the school which provides an education and jobs for hundreds of Bridgeport citizens. Her motivation is pure. She is dedicated to helping our city become successful. She is a born leader with the heart to serve. Mary-Jane listens, observes, and then wisely figures out what it takes to fix problems. Because she is person of total integrity she is able win the trust of others to work together with her until she gets the job done. She has worked with our legislators in Hartford and they trust her and Bridgeport needs that.

She is not driven by a big ego, money, or power. Instead she is an innovator, able to create authentic transformation and has proven this through the businesses she brought to the city. Her experience is a blend of social consciousness tempered by fiscal responsibility and business savvy. And most importantly, she is uncompromising in her commitment to ethical government spending and ending corruption.

Mary-Jane is the sole mayoral candidate who can garner enough votes to win against Ganim. If Republicans vote for Rick Torres they are literally voting Ganim in. Republicans cannot win with the number of Republican voters living in Bridgeport. Numbers don’t lie. That is why Republicans, Democrats and Independents all need to vote for her. This is a historical opportunity to change the way Bridgeport operates forever, but we cannot vote the poisonous past and expect a better future. Mary-Jane Foster will provide a chance to take back the city of Bridgeport and make it place where families can have hope again, regardless of political party.

    1. Jennifer, isn’t it too late with that crap? This is a close race between Ganim and Foster. Rick does not even come close. He and Coviello will take Ganim’s crumbs. Foster will take most Republicans citywide, most Finch Votes, all Foster votes, etc, etc., etc.
