Speaking of 139, I know Port politics is Port politics. But what’s going on with Cartwright Towers in the 132?
It’s been all over my social news feed. I mean, I understand the need for the city to intervene and for its politicians to show face, particularly the ones who court their vote. I’ve even seen photos of John Gomes showing up. I thought at frist it was a block party, festive. Like Jazz Fest. 🤣
That being said, Martinez of the 139 has been all over this, considering she has stressed that others elected to stay out of her district when it comes to politicking, particularly when it comes to Maria.
Make no mistake, the crisis is politicing. I mean, if John shows up, you have to come to that conclusion.
That being said, I feel for seniors having to go through the hardship without utilities. I think there may be an untold hardship that most can’t see. I mean I seen a lot of photos of cars flooding out. Based on Port’s economic status as a city, it tends to have people working paycheck to paycheck with not much discretionary savings and tend to save by not having comprehensive coverage to cover the damage or replace their

For those people I feel for, who are forgotten, perhaps not even thought of on a political level. JS
While I’m sure Martinez’s political aspect to venture in the 132 is out there, and perhaps will be revealed to me. Gomes is obviously contemplating a second run to show up there. As well as any elected official who has skin in the voting bloc of the Cartwright district.
I don’t even consider you a Port. Unless you had your lights, gas, phone, and cable cut off. Where your ass had to go back to the 18th-century “electricity,” AKA candle 🕯 light. Until you found some funds, or had to climb the pole to turn the cable back on, cut the lock on the gas, and UI meter. ATT didn’t have any of that, I thought. Had monopoly money for food that came with a big block of cheese. 🤣
If you didn’t touch these bases, you’re a stepchild of the Port. 🤣
