City of Bridgeport today is alerting residents of the CTDOT bridge maintenance and closure that will temporarily close Route 130 on Stratford Ave from Wednesday, December 6th to Friday, December 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The purpose of this project is to help accomplish a mechanical and maintenance inspection of the Stratford Avenue Bridge over the Pequonnock River. A detour route will be made available to offset the closure. Additionally, ‘Bridge Closed’ signs will be set up at the start of each shift and removed at the end of each shift.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to stay alert and maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. CTDOT will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience this will cause.
