Who Knew Downtown Bridgeport Could Look So Good!

Broadway star actor/singer Cheyenne Jackson has released his latest video for Don’t Wanna Know, most of it filmed Downtown a few months ago featuring McLevy Green. Check it out. Can’t wait for the comments on this video!

  1. Hey, I watched them film this video! The girls were real, Andy. They practiced and filmed over and over again. It’s great to see the finished version. The scaffolding in front of where Roberto’s used to be really took a beating from all the retakes. Downtown looks great!

    1. Thursdays at McLevy Green and now Cheyenne, the finished version. Music and dancing around works at the venue, though this production had more vertical and horizontal action than the weekly summer shows.

That downtown area has good bones from streetside, and I almost missed the use of Annex park for one of the shots. Did the Mayor twitter (or flutter) for this production company? Just shows what happens when professionals are used.

Hope the City Council returns to their meeting schedules and bothers to regularly attend, read the material and discuss the business of the City with the City. Time will tell.

  2. I have never heard of this group. I thought Downtown Bridgeport looked amazing. I thought the vocals and dancing were great and very entertaining. I would not use disgusting to describe the video. I would say that is the first time I saw a gay presence downtown. I would also say Bridgeport would have been so much further in its development and artsy shops as well as attract money and business to the city if there were more of a gay presence. Westport and New Haven are perfect examples. ALTHOUGH I APPRECIATE THE GAY HUMOR AS WELL AS JEWISH STEREOTYPES AND BLACK HUMOR, I FIND IT OFFENSIVE WHEN IT IS INTENDED TO INSULT. Andy, you need to wake up and realize you are in the 21st century. Even if the woman were transvestites, they certainly were entertaining and attractive, no? The good news is I am glad Lennie shared this video. I am certain he knew the responses he would get from a few rednecks. I thought the video was great. Now I have to wonder who this group is. If we could only get Bruce Springsteen here and John Bon Jovi.

  3. Steve, just because it’s the 21st century does not mean I have to change because other people have changed their moral beliefs. Watching men touch each other just does not sit well with me; if that makes me a redneck so be it. Even if they were attractive and were transvestites it still makes them girlie men.

  4. LOLOL Andy, I get it. It is as offensive as a Pope who served as a Hitler Youth or the fact he covered up sex scandals by priests before being elevated to Pope. Honestly, I love the way people sit back and judge as though they are so righteous. As for those girlie men, Andy do not get too close and bend over or they may just turn you into a woman! I didn’t mean to call you a redneck but actually you do sound like one. You probably still think Doris Day and Connie Francis are on the charts in the hit parade as well as Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. They were great but there has been quite a bit of talent that has come since. You should just appreciate it. It will keep you young. Stop sounding like an old bigoted fart!

    1. Steve, I am an old fart. It’s offensive as the pope and Hitler Youth, it’s as offensive as all the priests who molested children. In actuality all I listen to is ’50s music, there is no cursing and no degradation of women in the songs I listen to. I find a lot of things in today’s society offensive. I just can’t go along to get along when it’s wrong. Steve, have a great holiday. It’s been fun trading comments.

      1. Andy, the lyrics to those old songs are pretty silly and have no meaning. Aside from that, may I wish you and Pat as well as all the folks who read this blog a very Merry Blessed Christmas. May you all stay in good health and be surrounded by family and good friends. May we all live and let live and not judge–lest we be judged. We all do live in glass houses. Peace out, bitches!
