Voting Returns To Central High School–See Precincts

Republican and Democratic electors who had voted at Madison School the past few years will return to vote at Central High School for the September 10 primary and then for all eligible district voters for the November 5th general election. Voting had taken place at Madison while Central was under renovations.

This impacts voters on the West Side 132nd District and North End 133rd District.

Not sure where you vote? See here.

    2. There are several errors with voting locations. Sending people from Batalla to central. This is a problem “according to Facebook posts” due many voters being told that their voting place is now back at central after the renovations. The problem is that they told many Batalla voters that did not vote at central in the first place that there location is now changed. A bad mistake at best, voter suppression at worst.

  2. last year I received a postcard from Rep Steve Stafstrom that my polling place would not be at Central, but at Madison School instead. Uhhh I think NOT. for the 40 years I’ve lived in this house, I’ve *ALWAYS* voted at Blackham.
So I called Rep Stafstrom and talked to him. I told him who I was and where I lived. Rep Stafstrom told me I voted at – are you ready for this? – Winthrop!!! oh most definately not!!
God help the Bridgeport delegation to the state capitol, because they know not what they do – or what part of Bridgeport they represent – or where Bridgeport residents are supposed to vote…

  3. Lennie, I called the Registrars Of Voter concerning the new changed of voting location and they checked and said that there was a mistake and voting place is still Cesar Batalla School on Howard Ave. instead of Central High School. They said that new postcards with the correct information in a few days. A bad mistake at best, voter suppression at worst, no doubt that it’s “voter suppression.” They target Seaside Village which is a older population that have voted at the old Roosevelt School on Park Ave. then to the new Cesar Batalla School but schools with in walking distance.
