Unsuspecting drivers gobbled up turkeys a few days ago, courtesy of Bridgeport’s men and women in blue who handed out a box full of bird and fixings for the holiday season, instead of tickets.
Video from the goodwill gestures was posted on the department’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Officers also conducted a Stuff-A-Patrol-Car food drive for three days to support up to 250 families in need in the Bridgeport community. Food baskets from those efforts will be handed out Tuesday at Vazzy’s Restaurant.
“I’m very proud of my officers,” said Police Chief AJ Perez. “Things like this–it brings us, the police and the community, together.”

Did the city use any OT for this or as a result of this???
I saw the men and women in action, and I appreciate their efforts for the less fortunate. BTW, I did stop and contribute!
It would mean more if the cops actually donate their time doing this.
That’s nice…… I am having trouble scrolling backwards through all previous post AT THEY WERE POSTED.
OK.. I found it
You know if you do something for your community it helps s if you actually live in the community.
A noble cause.
