Turkeys Over Tickets, Cops Share Good Words And Birds November 18, 2018 Lennie Grimaldi Best of Bridgeport, Law Enforcement, News and Events7 Comments </p> <p>Unsuspecting drivers gobbled up turkeys a few days ago, courtesy of Bridgeport’s men and women in blue who handed out a box full of bird and fixings for the holiday season, instead of tickets.</p> <p>Video from the goodwill gestures was posted on the department’s Twitter and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/bptpolice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook</a> accounts.</p> <p>Officers also conducted a Stuff-A-Patrol-Car food drive for three days to support up to 250 families in need in the Bridgeport community. Food baskets from those efforts will be handed out Tuesday at Vazzy’s Restaurant.</p> <p>“I’m very proud of my officers,” said Police Chief AJ Perez. “Things like this–it brings us, the police and the community, together.”</p> <p> 0
