Tell Us Your Favorite President

At OIB we vote early and often, especially when it involves our favorite presidents. We thought about asking you to vote for your favorite presidential skirt chaser, but we’ll leave that to future historians. So live it up, vote for as many as you want, and cast your vote, over and over again.

  1. I hope some of OIB’s readers will read David McCullough’s book on Harry Truman. Here was a man who rose from a segregated state (Missouri), spoke the “N” word, got involved in politics in a corrupt environment and became a U.S. Senator, chaired a committee that investigated fraud during WWII by contractors who were building shabby products for the war effort, became FDR’s VP for about three months, then President of the United States. In his time in politics he bore no fools, spoke his mind, ended WWII with two bombs that saved about 500,000 American troops, desegregated the military (despite his upbringing), and left office without a pension that was later voted for him by Congress.
Oh yes, he DID NOT have a college degree.
