  1. Dennis has a professional education and is young and energetic. He also has won the votes of Bridgeporters to represent them on the Board of Education. And he has gone on to gain the Chair of that organization in his initial year.

The BOE has its own Finance Committee and internal administrative staff. For several years funding difficulties with the City of Bridgeport have been raised. With Joe Ganim returned to office and submitting his first crafted budget, the BOE was shut out of $15 Million of added funding in FY 2017 to meet contractual requirements mostly. No big new efforts. Mayor Ganim ignored all of the request.
Where is Dennis Bradley on this matter? The cuts discussed by the interim Superintendent will bear heavy on the system in so many areas. Where is the Board leadership? Will they be out on Wednesday night at the next Budget Hearing? Time will tell.

  2. Ralph Ford, Tom Coble, Dennis Bradley, Anthony Paoletto and a 138th DTC member, etc. had a meeting at the Paoletto’s home a couple of weeks back. They are trying to organize a coalition in the 138th for Dennis.

The 139th is always meddling in other districts. Organize all you want because Dennis is going to lose the 138th. My goal is to make sure he loses it badly.

        1. Come on guys, when do we start respecting the lessons we learned so long ago by our mentors? Stay out of each others’ districts. Ralph and Tom, I consider you friends, we started out decades ago and for the most part we respected that unwritten rule of politics. I just lost a TC primary because Mario Testa and Tom McCarthy supported the slate I was opposing. We all know if those two were involved, for sure from the Mayor on down, including John Ricci who ran on my slate knew about it. You guys know I lose as well as I win, but I never forget. So my point is it’s not a good feeling to know people who have known each other for so long still will betray you if it serves their agenda. Let Ed and Dennis battle it out, and may the best one win. The two of you have been around too long to go backwards with those elementary plays.

          1. I don’t know if this is true, but it’s reprehensible if it is indeed true. While it’s reprehensible it’s not surprising. When Ed was sick and in the hospital and they carved up his district, not one so-called black politically active Brother or Sister said a damned thing or did a damned thing to fight that hostile takeover.

          2. Donald, it’s true. Maria doesn’t lie nor do I. We’re two women who are not intimidated by a good political race, but when these men, in my instance Mario Testa and Tom McCarthy interfere for no reason other than to satisfy their next move, that’s cowardly. Bottom feeders, that’s what they are. I’m not referring to Ralph or Coble, I’m speaking from my experience. Mario Testa should hang his head in shame. I along with Dottie Guman were instrumental in returning him to the Town Chair. Well easy come, easy go!

          3. Lisa, you mean to tell me these two black men are supporting a Puerto Rican over the incumbent black State Senator, Ed Gomes, who has a record of doing positive things for the City compared to Dennis Bradley, who has done nothing? Why would they do something like that?

  3. As a DTC member here in the 138th I will cover JFK and make sure Paoletto and his minions can’t do anything here. I am diligently dedicating myself and friends I have in JFK exposing these deceivers for what they are!

    1. Ron, from what I hear, yes. I haven’t heard it said to me, but everyone can’t be lying. Just for the record, Maria Pereira is having a fundraiser tonight where she intends to ask her guests to please give a contribution to Ed so he can meet his end. He has no idea she’s doing this, she just wants to help in any way she can to stop this assault.

  4. Dennis the Menace may be young and energetic but lacks stature and loyalty, his dedication to the parents is to be questioned, his record on running over those people who supported and helped him win his elections with borrowed money he never paid back until this day, his attendance record is to be questioned, he lacks knowledge in the BBOE, is this someone you really want to send to Hartford and represent a position that needs all these qualities and then some? Ed Gomes has nothing to prove, he has received respect and loyalty through his diligence and dedication, he’s not a sellout, he’s a man of integrity and of his word, he’s well represented, and is nothing more then a successful politician, respected with a support channel that many wish they had. The only way I could describe this would be does Hartford need someone young, dumb and full of cum or someone old, wise and resourceful, you make the choice.
