Kevin Hart at The Amp, Fantasia at Total Mortgage Arena both Friday night; Sacred Heart and Western Connecticut State University commencements on Sunday. The ‘Port will be a busy parking weekend.

What to know, via News release from Mayor’s Office:

As the weekend approaches, the City of Bridgeport is preparing for a weekend full of visitors trekking to the downtown area towards Total Mortgage Arena and Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater. All residents and pending travelers are encouraged to be aware of traffic and heavily congested areas in downtown Bridgeport. Events occurring through May 12-14 are as follows:

Fantasia with Special Guest Joe: May 12, 2023

Parking lots open: 5:00 P.M.
Doors Open: 6:00 P.M.
Concert begins: 7:00 P.M.

“We have a busy weekend ahead of us, but I’m very excited to know that so many people will be here, helping to cement Bridgeport as a hub for entertainment and events,” Mayor Ganim stated. “I urge everyone who may be traveling through and around Bridgeport to take caution when passing by the downtown area as there will be heavy traffic and congestion during these events.”

Below are options for patrons and residents to park their vehicles throughout the weekend as these major events are taking place.

Park Your Car
On-street parking meters are enforced Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Parking is free during holidays observed in the City of Bridgeport, as well as weekends. There are multiple ways to pay at the on-street meter: coin, card, and with the Park Mobile or MobileNow parking apps.
