  1. Wow smh he is his own worst enemy this guy with all these gaffes. Listen here Mr. Romney, I never depended on the gov for anything and my parents never depended on the gov either. They were immigrants who came to America and worked hard. Obama 2012.

  2. I supported Obama in 2008 because he was the underdog. I’m supporting him in 2012 because today we’re all underdogs. However, President Obama didn’t spend a penny to go to Columbia University or Harvard Law School. Ditto for Michelle Obama who graduated from Princeton. Consequently, for the first time in history, America has its first Affirmative Action couple in The White House.

    1. Local Eyes, what is your issue with “Affirmative Action?” Was it okay for George W Bush to go to Yale because his father attended Yale and that is how “W” got in?

  3. Finally! Thanks for telling it like it is, Mitt. Tell the losers who are dependent on government handouts to get off the couch and get a job! Oh that’s right … you can’t find one under the current administration. How’s that “Hope and change” working?

  4. *** Mitt is not only out of touch with the average American but also keeps blaming Obama for political government blunders that happened on Bush Jr’s watch! If this is the best the GOP has to offer America for real political government changes and results, the Republicans are in deep whale shit, no? *** FORGETABOUTIT ***

    1. Yeah, so four more years of high unemployment, gas prices, food prices, etc. is the way to go. Get someone in there with some experience in something other than being a community organizer. He is good at one thing though, pointing fingers at everyone but himself. “It was Bush, it’s congress (even though he had both houses for 2 years and pushed through everything he wanted), it was the earthquake.” Apparently the dog ate his homework too. Whose fault will it be in four more years if he wins and gas is $7.00 a gallon? Yours!

  5. The sad fact of life is Romney is correct, there are entire generations of people who derive their entire livelihood from government programs.

The Democratic Party has won countless elections by giving away more stuff and promising to give even more away … if you’ll keep them in office. We can see the evidence of that right here in Bridgeport. Remember Finch’s $600 giveback?

Those people who live on the dole are not going to vote for Romney. That’s all he’s saying.

    1. “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” Alexander Fraser Tytler.

  6. Business owners are hanging on to their funds and not hiring because of fear of the unknown as far as new Obama taxes are concerned. Not to mention the new Obamacare tax. Those who did hire will be forced to lay off to pay for it. Tax cuts= Jobs. Stop hating those who made a successful life for themselves in the name of those who refuse to help themselves.

    1. “fear of the unknown?”

Capitalism is on hold until when? Until the second week of November if Mitt is elected?

The only thing we know is called history, and we really do not even know that, because history changes according to whom is recounting it.

    1. That’s what we need … another liberal to tell us government is our friend. To tell us how to live our lives and what to eat ’cause we’re so stupid. No salt, no sugar, drinks, no trans fat, drive small electric cars that get 15 miles a charge! Keep on voting the tree-hugging weirdos in.

  7. Question: Ed makes $50K/yr and pays $10K in taxes or 20%. John makes $20 mil/yr and pays $3 mil/yr in taxes or 15%. Since John pays 300 time more taxes than Ed, does John get 300 times more representation? Or is this taxation without representation?

      1. Inflation is taxation without representation??? Huh???

The District of Columbia is the only bastion of “Taxation Without Representation” sanctioned by United States I am aware of.

  8. The following is taken from Wikipedia and is about GEORGE Romney. The timeline is 1968. I wouldn’t post it if I didn’t think it was relevant. This is my version of investigative reporting.

George Romney was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 1968. While initially a front-runner, he proved an ineffective campaigner, and fell behind Richard Nixon in polls. Following a mid-1967 remark that his earlier support for the Vietnam War had been due to a “brainwashing” by U.S. military and diplomatic officials in Vietnam, his campaign faltered even more, and he withdrew from the contest in early 1968.

Now I understand why he never mentioned the Afghan war in last month’s speech. The past doesn’t have to parallel the future but I’d be worried if I were his campaign manager.

    1. So a remark by his father in 1968 is why he shouldn’t be president? Wow, now I’m sold. Maybe I should wiki some Obama shady land deal or how the folks at Solyndra got our tax dollars then sent some back as a campaign contribution before going bankrupt.

    2. As it turns out, George Romney couldn’t legally serve as president. He was born in Mexico.
      From Wikipedia … Personal details
Born George Wilcken Romney (1907-07-08) July 8, 1907
      Colonia Dublán, Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico
      Died July 26, 1995 (1995-07-26) (aged 88)
      Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

  9. Mitt Romney is a moron. Anyone watching Fox news has to be aware all of their contributing guests are also Romney surrogates … so much for news. Mitt Romney offers nothing. If he became President he would be elevated to a Prophet in his Mormon church. That could be interesting to be part of history living in the times of a prophet in the second Book of Mormon. For the Republicans to have only one goal after Obama was elected to make him a one-term president was sad. To think all the male Republicans spent the last two years only creating bills to make women’s life more difficult was pathetic. The party is narrow minded and exclusive. When you have spokesmen like Buchanan, Robertson, Palin and Bachmann as well as Hannity and Coulter you know you are part of a hateful, bigoted self-righteous group of morons. This was no gaff on Romney’s part. It is the way he thinks. Especially when catering to his right-wing holier than thou adulterers who believe their shit don’t stink. Trump and Gingrich are perfect examples of adulterers who have won favor with the religious freaks. When you figure Obama is up in most polls while the economy is still sluggish, that’s how you know the Republicans picked a real loser and embraced a platform that has gone the way of the dinosaur. The party has alienated Blacks, Latinos, gays and women. He has dismissed 47 percent of which many are retired Republicans. Sad sad sad. If he were to win, Bridgeport would suffer terribly.

    1. I guess you are getting your stats from CNN (you’re the one viewer they have) as they are the only folks who have Obama up. Rasmussen, real clear politics, and Gallop all have it even. Some have Romney up. I thought only Chris Mathews had a thrill up his leg. I guess you do too. You cite Palin, Bachmann and Coulter, then allude to an issue with women. Genius! Bridgeport suffers because the Testa robot voters in this city elect tree-hugging morons like Finch. Keep on waiting for that “hope and change,” as most apparently have come to realize that it is actually “bait and switch.” Romney was smart to have his moles release that sound bite. Anyone who actually knows the stats knows 65% of America says they are sick of entitlements. Great move Romney! Your move, Mr. Redistribution.

      0
      1. Mr. Redistribution? Oh yes you are quoting a 1998 Obama sound bite. Another Fox news surrogate. If you are happy with the Republican congress spending their time on abortion issues instead of jobs, then I get you. The Republican party and perhaps yourself only have yourselves to blame. They have taken a party of fiscal conservatism and turned it into a social issues party and being on the wrong side of history. I say let women make their own decisions and you keep your religious convictions to yourself. Let gays marry and mind your business. Teach your children intolerance and explain why it’s okay to have a party of adulterers judging people. Romney is not an ignorant man and I am certain he knows how to close companies. Not all businessmen are capable of running a successful business. If you are not interested in tax returns from the most powerful man in the world and cannot argue. A cashier has to go through a more vigorous vetting process. 65 percent of Americans may be sick of entitlements but more are still concerned about their fellow man and know sometimes we need to intervene. Any man who believes in Judeochristian/Muslim values knows we are all in this together. The nuns on the bus did cross country to explain how the Ryan Romney plan was bad for the meek. The nuns are now and have always been the backbone of the church. It is so ironic the Pope and his sycophants have been quick to judge and condemn them. What would Jesus think? I am not sure. But that Jewish man would have a hard time recognizing any aspect of his Judaism in the Catholic Church. So there you have it in a nutshell. If you believe the world would be better by oppressing those who cannot help themselves then get ready. People will not let their families starve, your world as you know it may be at risk. The Romney fellow’s mentality of let them eat cake will not get him elected. You need to watch more mainstream newscasts. Fox news and CNBC will cloud your view of the world. Do we all need to be talking about Bill Ayers and all the people from Obama’s childhood? Shouldn’t we all be vetting Romney and his taxes??? We know Obama–I happen to be a huge fan. I know nothing about Romney and Ryan and apparently neither does the rest of America.

  10. Sorry, I fell asleep halfway through your diatribe. Anywho, did you know Obama before you wasted your vote on him? No one did! He ran on a combo of bumpersticker rhetoric and media bias and won. Guess what … we still don’t know him.

    1. I supported Clinton. I knew nothing about Obama. When he didn’t pick Clinton as his running mate I supported McCain and Palin. I thank G-d every day they lost the election. That was the worst decision I ever made and so glad Obama had been elected. There you have it. Palin, dumber than a box of rocks. McCain a dinosaur with old ideas who only wants a war to put the youth of this country in harm’s way. Another adulterer judging gays and women in the military and marriage. I cannot see a Republican President in my lifetime. The makeup of society has changed. We move forward and evolve. Republicans are so primitive in so many ways. One day the people will regain the message of the Republican party, the party of Lincoln. I do not see that happening any time soon as long as Evangelicals and tea party people have hijacked the party and platform.

  11. *** America, a country that had the chance to vote for a well known Vet. Senator from the west (McCain) during a low economy period in the US, two wars, high unemployment, Wall St., big banks and auto industry bailouts, etc. Yet the largest voting numbers in presidential election history and record-breaking campaign donations collected were recorded by an unknown Democratic ex-state senator from Chicago. A man with a white mother from Kansas and black father from Africa by the name of Obama. And so it was with this country at one of its lowest points in history voters decided and picked Obama as our president of these here United States of America! This Nov. the people of the US again will have to pick who they want to be their chief and leader of the USA. Who do you think would be the best choice for America for the next four years of uncertain events in the world? *** GOD BLESS AMERICA! ***
