Forum For Board Of Education Candidates

The League of Women Voters will sponsor a forum featuring nine candidates for Board of Education, September 3rd 6:30 p.m. at the Bessemer Center, 2200 North Avenue.

From LWV:

This is the only opportunity for interested citizens and families with children in the schools to see and hear from Democratic and Republican candidates at one event before the September 10th primaries.

The League of Women Voters of the Bridgeport Area event will start at 6:30 and end at 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Candidates are to arrive at or just before 6 p.m.

All candidates have indicated that they will attend the forum.

The Bessemer Center at 2200 North Ave is part of Bridgeport’s United Congregational Church. There is free parking next to the Center.

In Bridgeport it is rare that both parties have a primary election. The date for both is September 10th. You must belong to and vote in the party shown on your voter registration card. If you are not in a party, you cannot vote in this primary but welcome at the event.

The League of Women Voters of the Bridgeport Area

  1. Unfortunately,any and all discussion about the Board of Ed(post November 2019b elections ) is a complete waste of time. It is going to take some time flush out the effluent that on the Board of ED.
