Mayor Bill Finch, the City of Bridgeport and the Downtown Special Services District will celebrate the holiday season with the annual Celebration of Lights and Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 4 in downtown Bridgeport. This free, family-friendly event will include musical performances, activities for children and an appearance from Santa.

“Bridgeport is getting better every day. I invite families from throughout the city to come to our improving downtown neighborhood for an evening of free, family fun and entertainment as we ring in the holiday spirit in the Park City,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “As the father of four boys, I look forward to spending time with loved ones each holiday season. Our tree lighting festivities is a great way to kick off the season.”

The event starts at 6 p.m. at the historic Arcade located at 1001 Main Street. Following the entertainment, the tree lighting will be held at McLevy Green (Corner of State Street and Main Street).
