Hmmm. Well she is certainly connected. Does everyone remember a huge proposal of luxury housing downtown Bridgeport by the train station during the Bucci administration under the Tisdale department of economic development? This project was initiated by Toni Harp’s deceased husband Wendall. Not only did the project never happen, but the City had to pay Harp to get the property back. The project was most impressive and called the Renaissance Project. Go the Connecticut Post archives. I remember writing a letter the editor giving KUDOS prematurely to BUCCI. I am not sure how much money Mr. and Mrs. Harp got from the City but I am certain that info is available. Imagine, 30 years ago; not sure why I would remember that tidbit.
Good point, Steve. That development proposal caused a rift between Bucci and Tisdale in 1989, the year Mary Moran defeated Bucci.
New Haven will also dig up info on all the money The Harp company owed the City of New Haven while Toni was a State Senator. I am certain that information could not help her.

The wife is NOT held responsible for the ills of the husband like Joe Ganim or any of those who were involed. Toni Harp will run on her OWN record.
And any politician worth his salt will not only dig up this information but also will find no doubt MRS. HARP WAS MOST LIKELY ON HIS PAYROLL AND RECEIVING A PAYCHECK AND THEREFORE AWARE OF HIS DEALINGS. ,SORRY MACKEY SHE IS NOT MY CHOICE FOR NEW HAVEN SO I WILL ONLY GIVE INFORMATION TO RAISE AWARENESS. Bridgeport and the COUNTRY AS A WHOLE IS WHERE MY INTEREST RESTS. NOT REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT NEW HAVEN. I JUST HAPPEN TO REMEMBER WENDALL HARP AND SHE WAS HIS WIFE.
Steve, she has been dealing with that EVERY election and she wins big every time.
Of course she does. She and her husband Wendall have always been politically astute. Always carrying on political strategy sessions in the Renaisance Architectural offices. That was my point when I said she was very well connected. I wish her well. Her success or failure will not have an impact on my life and I do not wish to malign her campaign. Just wanted to raise awareness to the masses who vote blindly. You may get out your checkbook if you think it is money well spent in New Haven. Better you show your support for candidates in Bridgeport. No?
No!!! Mario Testa and the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee run Bridgeport. I supported Chris Caruso when he ran for mayor.
That was when I supported Bill Finch with two signs on my front lawn while Fabrizi was still Mayor. He decided not to run.
