City Hall On Wheels Visits East End

Mayor Joe Ganim on Wednesday introduced his City Hall on Wheels program. Several city officials attended including former Police Chief Wilbur Chapman, a mayoral adviser for public safety, who’s featured in the video above.

Ganim explains the purpose of the campaign, going directly into city neighborhoods, in the video above.

  1. What a dog and pony show, 90% of those in the video are NOT from the East End. Nothing was really said to help those in the East End and if you notice no one was asked a question. This will be a chance for the residents to vent and nothing else.

  2. Give me a break, Mayor Ganim. What the East End needs is a grocery store and a pharmacy, not the ramblings of Chapman with his why can’t we all get along BS. Black folks get outta Joe’s amen corner because he hasn’t done one thing for you since you went to the polls to elect him. The only thing I saw in the video was a bunch of lackeys looking for the next crumb dropped by Joe.

    1. Donald, serious question? What are the boundaries of the East End?
I don’t quite understand all the neighborhood demarcations. We own a property on Park Ave I don’t think of as North End, but I’m told if it’s north of North Ave, it’s North End.
The reason for my question is there are CVS pharmacies on both East Main St and Barnum Ave near Bishop and I assumed that’s in the East End. The area has no supermarket that I’m aware of, typical of most low-income urban areas. Those who can afford the least have only shopping choices that cost the most.

        1. Ron Mackey,
Which CVS is the Upper East Side? I mentioned two in my question. I am uncertain of the neighborhood breakdowns, which is why I asked in the first place.

        2. Ron, sorry, as I said I don’t quite know all the neighborhood demarcations, the CVS I was referring to is actually on Boston Ave near Bishop. Boston doesn’t become Barnum and enter Stratford for a few more blocks.
Is Boston and Bishop the East End?

          1. Marshall, the CVS on Boston Ave is in the lower East Side and it’s one block from Stratford.

        3. Ron, so you’ve told me one CVS is in the upper East Side and the other is in the lower East Side, but will someone please give me the boundaries of the East End? That’s the original question I asked and have received no answer.

          1. I will try. The upper East Side starts at Boston and East Main and continues to the Trumbull town line. The CVS we have is at the intersection of Huntington Turnpike East Main and Noble Ave.

  3. City Hall on Wheels???
I guess it’s supposed to make it easier for Joe to get outta town when he needs to.
What was his ex-sister-in-law alluding to? That Joe still lives up at the family compound in Easton?
