Lennie, why is Robinette Walker and Rayford Scott suing the city? What you heard.

*** Time to play catch-up on most of the city boards & commissions that have opening’s & long expired sitting members making illegal decisions on city issues.*** OFF TOPIC *** Well Trump voters & supporters, though something has to be done to get illegal immigration under control on all U.S boarders, north & south, east & west; by land, sea & air. The Trump Admin. has failed as usual by not taking time to work with Congress & coming up with a moral, civil plan to deal with the problem. Instead there concentrating mainly on the southern boarder & striping juvenile children away from their mother’s and putting all in make-shift detention shelters. Whats next, “concentration camps” run by white racist nationalist chanting “Blood & Soil” here in America? This is not what Vets in America fought & died for, past & present in American history. Trump & family, his Admin, Republicans & there voters & supporters are to blame for this assault on American democracy!***

Mojo, the Trumpettes only want the southwest border protect because those there are brown and that’s the dog whistle that gets those haters to the polls.

I suggest you take time to find out that the present laws involving these illegals is a law that was passed by the Obama administration

45 has accused Democrats of promulgating “laws” that have caused family separation at the border — though there are no laws mandating that children be taken away from any adult arriving at the border.

Former Republican attorney general Alberto Gonzales had spoken about how the administration has “discretion” at the border — concluding that “clearly this government, this president, is using his discretion” to separate families.

        Thank you, Andrew.

Ron Mackey, you stated “there are no laws mandating that children be taken away from any adult arriving at the border”.

It is DoJ policy to separate children from adults who have entered the United States illegally.

You need to broaden you source of information beyong CNN, MSNBC, etc and The View.

Fuck, if we could all just see that all of of us seek happiness and avoid pain and suffering, then we may see each other withcompassion and see beyond left or right, black or white or between, rich or poor, etc. Only then, I believe, we will sit down and work together to make a better world for all. We lack compassion! We are so freaking married to our opinions that our pride clouds our ability to discern and see each other as humans seeking the same end goals.

“Jeff Sessions’ church slams his use of the Bible to defend separating migrant families”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is a United Methodist, and he is also the face of the Trump administration’s widely condemned policy of separating migrant children from their families at the border. In a Friday statement slamming the policy as “a shocking violation of the spirit of the Gospel,” the United Methodist Church registered its dissent to Sessions’ use of the Bible to defend the separations:June 16, 2018

Jesus is our way, our truth, our life. The Christ we follow would have no part in ripping children from their mothers’ arms or shunning those fleeing violence. It is unimaginable that faith leaders even have to say that these policies are antithetical to the teachings of Christ.

Christian sacred texts should never be used to justify policies that oppress or harm children and families. [United Methodist Church]

The statement explicitly called out Sessions as a “fellow United Methodist,” asking him to reverse the decision to split up families. It noted that the close context of the passage Sessions cited, Romans 13, includes instructions for Christians to “extend hospitality to strangers” and to do “no wrong to a neighbor.”

Nearly 2,000 children were separated from their families in April and May alone; some of these families crossed the border illegally, while others are legal asylum-seekers. Read the full United Methodist statement here. Bonnie Kristian

Thursday, Sessions cited Romans 13 to defend the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” prosecution policy on illegal immigration. In a speech addressed to his “church friends,” Sessions said:
“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order.”

Romans 13 has been cited by Nazi sympathizers and apartheid-enforcers, slave owners and loyalists opposed to the American Revolution.

Conveniently Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III forgot to read further down in Romans 13 to Romans 13:11:

11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

*** There are many past federal laws on the books that are out dated or just not in-forced by the DOJ. Its up to the present “commander & chief’s admin.” & his hand picked sitting A.G to actually order for the implementation of the policy on the books to become active & there for inforced by the DOJ. A “simple order” or “call” from Trump could stop the policy that was not used by the Bush or Obama Admins. in the past but put into effect by Trump & his “good old boy”, Sessions. Trump “voters & supporters” will grab at any straws to justify their “Mosiah’s Actions” weather its right or wrong! Remember, these are desperate people with (no real) practicing religious morals, that feel cheated in life on different levels like politics, personal finances, justice system, taxes, race relations, substance abuse, etc… Only God & them know why, they could allow themselves to support, vote & justify the sideshow snake-oil con-man promises & actions of the “Anti-Christ”, Trump! ***
