Charlotte Rose Masi, seven-year-old daughter of Jennifer Lynne, chiropractor extraordinaire at The Backstroke, 181 State Street Downtown, has landed her first Broadway performance as Trixie for Tennessee Williams’ Cat On A Hot Tin Roof featuring the seductive Scarlett Johansson as Maggie.
Charlotte has appeared in several local shows produced by the Bridgeport Theatre Company under the tutelage of BTC co-founder and Bridgeport resident actress Christy McIntosh. Charlotte also graced the Bijou Theatre stage for the OIB holiday party December 9 in which Christy McIntosh and friends performed.
Talk about juggling a life, Dr. Jen’s adjusting backs by day and busting to Manhattan by night to deliver Charlotte for each performance. As mom says …
They say the world is your stage … for Charlotte, the stage is her world and I am not only so incredibly proud of her for all her hard work … and trust me, this isn’t easy, but I am more importantly so thankful that she is getting to be at her best and her happiest … This experience is the best gift she could be given. Six days and eight performances a week, commuting in and out of NYC by train, my baby has become worldly. Every day I am overwhelmed by her fortitude, her innocence, her adaptability, and her extreme kindness. I only wish for everyone that has stood by and supported Charlotte and I a peek through her Rose colored glasses in 2013 … it’s an amazing view!
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof is now playing at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on 46th Street.
Maybe she’ll get a part in the next Marvel Studios movie …
