City Council Public Session Features Speakers Against Proposal To Ban Flavored Tobacco

This is the shit-ass discussion that’s a disservice to the city and no serious councilperson who give anything about the Port and it businesses should entertain this Idea. It’s a feels-good manipulation of voters’ minds that harms a Port business that supplies these products based on political/sides agendas. The last bet they, the council, did like this they won when the State anteed up. But if the state doesn’t ban these products all council did was harm Port business on a bet. If the state doesn’t smokers including the CC president (unless she quit) will go to Stratford or some other surrounding town to spend their money in a business out of town. I hope they know what the state is going to do like the increase. I say political or sides because it is surely not about morality or doing what is right. You have a local business owner who has been praised and honor by the city council members who have been charged with multiple crimes involving sexual assault/harassment of a young girl and the city police chief implicated in trying to cover it up. Yet you hear very little from the council. To be fair, bribing and trying to help (cover) something seem low on my totem pole of immorality, but I have them ask my fellow goombas, what if this sexual arrassment was your daughter. JS
