With Early Voting Underway In Probate Judge Race, Ganim Campaign Leads Fundraising, Bradley Camp Out Of Money (On The Books)

If money matters in elections, and it does, the reelection campaign of Probate Judge Paul Ganim is dwarfing that of combative challenger Mark Bradley who raised no money for the latest four-week period, according to finance reports filed with the State Elections Enforcement Commission.

Early voting is underway for the Democratic primary in advance of the August 11 final vote day.

In fact, the Bradley campaign is essentially out of money for the final push spend, just $3,579 on hand, barring a loan infusion from the candidate who has already put in $10,000 of his own money from the $35,000 raised overall, a large chunk of that coming from his Massachusetts-centric state where he has listed his bona fide residency for years while also voting in Connecticut, a criminal investigation underway by state law enforcement.

Of course, the Bradley campaign is spending a lot of street cash on this campaign that’s not on the books, according to insiders.

Contrastingly, Ganim’s campaign raised $8,450 during the four-week period for $96,705 total raised, with $13,504 on hand for the final week.

Most of the Bradley spend was for campaign workers while Ganim’s largest investment was direct mail.

The question of Bradley’s inability to raise money with so many election investigations looming, both civil and criminal, has been answered.

Both campaigns have made early voting turnout a priority at the Margaret Morton Government center – tenting, campaign materials, rides to 999 Broad Street, even verbal jousting among the respective camps.

Of note outside the government center is former State Senator Dennis Bradley trying to flag down anyone willing to vote on Tuesday on behalf of his brother.

Dennis Bradley, awaiting sentencing, recently had his law license suspended by a state judge following his federal conviction on multiple counts of election fraud.
