City ministers Mary McBride-Lee and Lyle Hassan Jones led a protest Tuesday morning outside police headquarters condemning the Gomes for mayor campaign releasing “illegally obtained video footage that leaked to the public regarding the absentee ballot controversy.”

What a joke. One thing is clear: whoever wins, we are doomed.

Seemed, weak, for a protest outside the police department. Perhaps it was missing certain elements. Though JML was there, I believe. 🙂
There are some conundrum questions. While I find the actual leak, I mean “whistleblower” (for my pencil box) 🙂 trivial. There are some intriguing questions surrounding the release.
A, the “whistleblower” (I believe) claimed they released it to Gomes/Camp because they didn’t trust the police. It can be assumed that the person is not a police officer.
B, When did they gain possession/knowledge of the information on the video? There is very little chance the “whistleblower” accessed a storage of video archives and prose the thousands of hours of tape and happens to come across it. 🙂
So it can also be assumed the knowledge of crime/election fraud was known to the police and I would have to say no action was taken prior to the election.
Conspiracy-wise, while the “leak/whistleblower” will probably fall flat. A Bigger question. What is going to happen on the prosecution side with all the others caught on tape stuffing the ballot box, you know who you are, 🙂 outside of Wanda, Martinez who Gomes camp called to testify?
How big is this dragnet going to be? Then their the election too.

RT,
I was present at that gathering by the Police Department memorial and posted comments previous to the even and post. Thank you for noticing. Perhaps OIB will indulge you with an invite to offer an article on OIB on the role of “whistleblowing” in a democracy? Or some other title of substance and credibility.
There is such a current of mistrust regarding City processess, especially expensive ones like 3000 cameras, operating all of the time or only action activated, and requested by many on FOI without much expense, other than waiting time, perhaps.
As the saying goes, “See something. Say something.” One risk is that someone else sees it and reports and your vigilance becomes a source of legal challenge. What occurred is being investigated by all accounts. The public is asked to be patient. Can we be assured that all of the dirty laundry will be addressed? Or do we have to launder the possibilities until they appear squeaky clean by seeing the facts separate from dirt and smudges? Time will tell.
John, I don’t need an invite, Lennie, OIB, has already granted it. Though he does have editorial rights to shut the door in my face, and he uses it. 🙂
I can’t speak on democracy regarding the term “whistleblower” but the streets would view it as cleave wordplay for “snitch” Though that’s what you get when you play the game.
There’s really no mistrust, the streets expect it. Can’t have mistrust if you never had trust. 🙃
P.S. John, you don’t have to launder anything. You know the answer to that question. You are wise beyond your time. Trust in your instance Padawan. 🤣

Peruse through. 🙂
So let me get this, a cop 👮 or someone who monitors the CCTV, knowing of a crime held the information and then leased someone after the election claiming they were afraid the police wouldn’t do anything. No conspiracy here people. 🤣

What in the Phineas Taylor Barnum… Did they all ride in the same little red car?
How is obtaining a video of a crime bigger than the crime itself ????? Isn’t that what those cameras are for? To monitor the area to record funny business? There ought to be a link so the whole city can see those boxes & then it’ll be really transparent!!!
