Air ball! Watch: 64-Year-Old Mayor Plays Midnight Hoops With Kids

“Will you still need me, will you still feed me when I’m sixty-four?”

Paul McCartney’s show tune lyrics resonates with everyone hitting that number. At 64 Mayor Joe Ganim’s lost no competitive fire, especially navigating a basketball court no matter the age of competition.

The other night he returned to the court to run up and down against kids a fraction of his age. See video above from his Facebook page.

Chief Roderick Porter, big on community relations, has brought back midnight basketball as a crime fighting tool.

The mayor reports his heart rate is just fine. He did not reveal how many air balls he shot.
