Steelpointe Harbor’s Luxury Apartment Community Poised For Occupancy May 2026

Pre-leasing is scheduled to start later this month for move-ins beginning May of 2026 for The August, Steelpointe Harbor’s 420-unit waterfront housing component, featuring 58 floor plans including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts.

A website, see here, is now live that provides details of amenities, floor plans, renderings, restaurants and shopping.

All units for this phase of housing will be rentals. Pricing is expected to be announced before the end of 2025. The website has a contact page to join a waitlist.

Swimming and pickleball are among the amenities.

Amenities include resort-style saltwater pool & deck overlooking the water, indoor/outdoor fitness center with fitness classes, spin studio, sauna, and jacuzzi, co-working lounge with complimentary coffee service, outdoor kitchens & gathering spaces, private pet park & pet spa, pickleball court, EV charging stations, secure parking, on site food and retail.

The project is led by the father-son vision of the Christoph family who relocated their Miami RCI Marine operation to this area.

The initial Steelpointe Harbor housing phase is expected to attract lower Fairfield County residents, with higher discretionary incomes, seeking waterfront views and an assortment of amenities.

With the help of state financing there’s a 20 percent carve out for “work force” housing marketed to healthcare and municipal workers such as police and fire whose incomes would be out of reach for luxurious rental housing.

The housing component going vertical is rising north of I-95 across the street from Bass Pro Shops which is also part of the 52-acre development.

    1. The “Game” has a name–Gentrification. This one has it’s Taxing District. All taxes generated boomerangs back to the developers. Are you sure Joe Ganim is not skimming off the top like in the 2000 Games? I’m positive Lennie Grimaldi 2.0 learned his lesson. October 31, 2026.

“Pre-leasing is scheduled to start later this month for move-ins beginning May of 2026 for The August, Steelpointe Harbor’s…”

Mark your calendar for October 31, 2026. You see the picture on the smiling person the YouTube video link above? On October 31, 2001 he wasn’t smiling. Bridgeport development efforts and plans was paused for over 10 years when Joe Ganim was indicted along with over a dozen individuals including Lennie Grimaldi’s alter ego, Lennie Grimaldi 2.0.

JOE GANIM was found guilty on 16 counts of corruption. This is why the 50 acre Peninsula is really named Steal Point. Joe Ganim almost managed to get a corrupt developer to pay him $1 per square foot of a proposed 500,000 square feet project.
Lennie, mark your calendar and make sure that OIB holds the 25th. Anniversary Party at Steal Point. Lennie, please make sure your alter ego Lennie Grimaldi shows up, I’d love to see him. Lennie, imagine Joe Ganim getting indicted. again on October 31, 2026.
