Former wrestling executive Linda McMahon holds a narrow lead over Democratic Congressman Chris Murphy in Rasmussen Reports’ first look at Connecticut’s U.S. Senate race.
A new telephone survey of Likely Voters in Connecticut shows McMahon with 49% of the vote to Murphy’s 46%. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

Murphy Campaign Statement on Rasmussen Poll
ROCKY HILL—Chris Murphy’s campaign released the following statement in response to a new poll by Rasmussen Reports:
Any poll is a snapshot in time, and November is a long way away. We knew this was going to be a competitive race—McMahon has spent over $65 million trying to buy two elections now. But in the end, money doesn’t buy elections and voters know that McMahon is only out for herself, while Chris has been fighting for middle class jobs in Connecticut.

If true blue CT is in danger of losing this seat to the Repubs, then perhaps the Dems are in bigger trouble nationally than they realize.
