A mother and her young daughter suddenly found themselves collateral damage as a hail of cop bullets Swiss-cheesed their living room wall last Thursday night, taking out their flat-screen TV while they were watching it.
On the other side of the wall, two cops had just shot a man who they said had lunged at them with a knife after they had Tasered him.

*** Close call and lots of shots fired under dangerous close narrow conditions with a suspect who sounds like he was under some type of influence, no? Also this officer Fitzgerald seems to have quite a questionable citizen/officer history while on the Bpt P/D which will once again put the dept under another negative media light! Let’s hope for better news! ***
What’s next for the Bridgeport PD? Drones!
I am really shocked. I have long suspected many Bridgeport cops are too flaky to be armed with a weapon. That’s one problem. They should have continual psychological evaluations just for that purpose. But the real culprit here is weapons training by the BPD. It is seriously lacking. Even as combat soldiers, we were continually trained to consider the collateral effect of firing our weapons so we would avoid any friendly fire casualties. A loose cannon like Fitzgerald should have his gun taken away until he can demonstrate a well-rounded proficiency with safety being of paramount importance. We really live in a shithole because we are dominated by a squid mentality.
Otherwise, we have a bunch of Fredos fumbling their weapons when needed most as the shit hits the fan.
Is it time to give the a-ba-chubbas at the Bridgeport PD the boot? Are there too many fat-assed cops on Bridgeport’s PD?
The January 28th video speaks volumes, when in hot pursuit do you stop and give CPR to your fellow police officer, or keep chugging after the bad guys?
Maybe we need a curfew on junk food, like no hotdogs or donuts after lunch.
