The Bridgeport Public Library and the Bridgeport Regional Business Council have put together a truly outstanding 6-part weekly series of discussions focusing on Bridgeport’s economic development and opportunities. The first of these impressive programs is on Friday, April 29th from 12:00 to 1:00 in the Burroughs & Saden Reference Department 925 Broad St. and is entitled: Bridgeport Economic Development–Presentation on select completed and future city-wide projects representing public and private investment.

Bring your lunch.

Economic Development – Brown Bag Lunch Series: Friday, May 13th from 12:00 to 1:00 the Bridgeport Public Library 925 Broad St. 203 576-7406 in partnership with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council present: East Bridgeport Development–A review of the East Bridgeport Development plan, current projects and development sites. This program will consider opportunities the development will generate and examine the future vision for the East Bridgeport corridor from Lake Success to Steel Pointe. Bring your lunch.

Economic Development – Brown Bag Lunch Series: Friday, May 20th from 12:00 to 1:00 the Bridgeport Public Library 925 Broad St. 203 576-7406 in partnership with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council present: Bridgeport Incentive Programs–An outline of current business incentives and tax abatement programs available in the Park City. Being the largest city in the State of Connecticut, Bridgeport has within its economic development toolbox, a myriad of programs such as Foreign Trade, Enterprise Zone, HUB Zone, and the Arts & Entertainment Zone, each aimed at helping existing businesses and attracting new entrepreneurs to the city. Bring your lunch.

Economic Development – Brown Bag Lunch Series: Friday, June 10th from 12:00 to 1:00 the Bridgeport Public Library 925 Broad St. 203 576-7406 in partnership with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council present: Small Business Financing Assistance–various funding opportunities designed to help with business expansion, and start-ups, will be discussed. Information about Department of Economic and Community Development, Community and Economic Development Association, Small Business Administration, and others will be explained. Bring your lunch.
