What other cities and towns will do is
1 Budget funds realistically (or buy snow insurance to better level fund for the expense)
2 Use OT if necessary to clear the snow banks and therefore be ready for the next storm when it comes.
Can we assume the robo calls alerting us to Snow Emergency procedures are a part of the Snow Removal Process? Well then what is the purpose of the calls alerting citizens that the Emergency is over?
Won’t most people have been huddled by their Channel 12 or WICC weather sources before and during the storm? Don’t most folks look outdoors to see what is happening to the streets and to neighboring property activity? What’s the purpose? More importantly, what is the cost of such a low-priority call (as well as the original call identifying the coming Emergency)? Time will tell.
85 people have voted and not a single comment???
Sounds suspicious to me.
Must be City Hall stuffing the ballot box.
Something like ABs.
Bob, I noticed the same thing. I do believe there are quite a few public works and city employees voting in this poll.
Don’t forget to shovel your own street and clear your catch basins or someone will sue the city and you will be forced to pay.
Public works is doing the best they can, those people work hard, it’s no easy task here in Bpt.
Gotta be fair. They’ve done a good job. Of course, it has absolutely nothing to do with it being an election year, right?
