From Bridgeport Police spokesman Bill Kaempffer:
A 26-year-old man was shot late Wednesday on William Street. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he underwent surgery and was in stable condition.
Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to a report of shots fired and a man down at 1 William Street, Pleasant Moments Café at approx. 11:32 p.m. Upon arrival one victim was located. He was identified as Patrick Voltaire, 26, of 4 Theodore St, Boston, Mass. The victim was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the back. The shooting occurred outside of the establishment and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Calvao, 581-5240.
