Lennie, Bridgeport should be ashamed to be supporting the terrible documented animal abuse by the Ringling Circus! Join PROTESTS of Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus at Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena, Thurs Oct 20 – Sun Oct 23. Rally to educate circus-goers about circus animal abuse. Animals used by Ringling are brutally trained to perform unnatural tricks, chained & confined to small cages. In addition the Barnum Museum is having its benefit gala at the circus 10/20 thereby condoning this animal abuse. See details below on my CT Post blog:

Bridgeport has no reason to be ashamed, you obviously listen to the wacky peta crowd. BTW … You’re not in the know.
Went to see the elephants today. They brought out two huge elephants. One elephant is 42 years old and the other is 35 years old. They both looked healthy to me. The elephants are fed 21 hours a day. They sleep standing up or lying down. Lying down makes them get up every two hours so they can change positions. When they are retired they go to a sanctuary in Florida that is owned by the circus. BTW many of the elephants born there are used in the circus when they are old enough.
I have been in the back of the circus where the elephants are kept many times and their area is clean and well maintained.
