Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Puerto Rico Gov. Alejandro García Padilla broke up the bingo game at the East Side Senior Center on Tuesday.
But judging by the applause, the selfies and Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch’s vest with the single star inside the blue triangle, Malloy’s appearance won a lot more votes than it lost.Now, if Malloy can only get Latinos out to vote for him next Tuesday. The governor needs a big minority turnout in the major cities to defeat Republican Tom Foley.

Like it or not, this is a real good move. The Republicans had a chance to tap into this voting group but once again have refuse to reach outside their base of mostly white males from the suburbs.
