Good Shows And Good Eats! Entertainment Feeds Restaurants

Joseph’s Steakhouse on Fairfield Avenue downtown was sizzling early Saturday night. And it wasn’t just the dry-aged beef on the grill. Where there’s entertainment folks want to make a night of it starting with dinner.

We began our night at Joseph’s before heading over to a packed Downtown Cabaret Theatre for a performance by the Amazing Kreskin. Nice to see many OIB friends at the show. A half a mile away at the Klein Memorial a hot-blooded crowd was poised for the classic rock band Foreigner. The folks at Joseph’s said events at the Downtown Cabaret, Klein, Webster Bank Arena and Bijou Theatre juice a nice early dinner crowd before the regulars settle in.

And as we walked from Joseph’s along Fairfield Avenue over to the Cabaret, early patron action frequented the dining establishments Two Boots, Bare and Épernay.

Lots of sweet shows going on downtown. Check out the entertainment lineups at various city venues and the good eats before and after performances.
