State Senator Herron Keyon Gaston (D-Bridgeport) today announced his candidacy for his third term representing the towns of Bridgeport and Stratford in the Connecticut State Senate. Senator Gaston currently serves as the Senate Chair of the Public Safety and Security Committee and is committed to being an advocate for families in Connecticut during a time of economic uncertainty and public safety challenges.
“Residents in Connecticut need someone they can depend on to advocate for them,” said Senator Gaston. “I am running for a third term to continue to advocate to keep our communities safe in Bridgeport, Stratford, and across the state, while focusing on affordable housing, supporting local schools and small businesses, and ensuring our rights and freedoms are protected.”
Over the past two years, Senator Gaston has worked tirelessly to deliver results for the residents of Bridgeport and Stratford. In 2025, Senator Gaston secured millions of dollars in state funding for Bridgeport and Stratford to support community organizations, to invest in public schools and to improve the quality of life.
