Forum On Downtown Plans

From the Downtown Special Services District:

The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District, along with partners Bridgeport Generation Now and the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, is hosting Creating Community, a town hall event to encourage conversation about upcoming and current development projects happening in downtown Bridgeport. Tuesday, April 24th from 5:30-8:00pm at Read’s Artspace at 1042 Broad Street.

The event will feature discussions about downtown, how it is being shaped, and what the community would like to see in its future.  Brief presentations will be offered by:
Resilient Bridgeport, a prototype for the region’s coastal cities consisting of a resilience strategy and pilot projects
— The Jayson-Newfield Project on Main Street
— Bridgeport’s Downtown Special Services District, the business improvement district for the Park City
City of Bridgeport‘s Office of Planning and Economic Development
— The Shaping Community Bridgeport Working Group from the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County‘s Shaping Community conference

About the Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District
As the Business Improvement District for the Park City, the mission of the Bridgeport DSSD is to promote the preservation and development of the downtown business district; make the area more attractive and accessible; and enhance the public perception of downtown Bridgeport through overseeing and managing its appearance, security, and cleanliness.
