Democratic Town Committee candidates in two city districts are urging their votes to come out in a final push toward the closing of polls at 8 p.m. As of 4 p.m. 211 electors had cast a ballot at the 131st District polling locations, Roosevelt School and City Hall. That’s in addition to the 173 who had voted by absentee ballot. In the East Side’s 137th District 242 voters had cast a ballot by 4 p.m. in addition to the 125 who had already voted by absentee ballot.
It appears both districts are tracking toward roughly a 10 percent turnout, depending on the final push. Challenge slates will need a strong performance on the machine count to offset the losses from the absentee ballot operations turned out by the veteran slates. For more about the slates see prior post.
Here is Myleftnutmeg’s CT Blogger’s video of the rally with Gomes, Clements and Max ‘YOU HAVE TO RUN’ Medina.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing that, Sue. If Max, Marilyn and Rev Bennett held leadership positions in city government it would be a totally different scene.
*** It’s “Groundhog Day” once again in the 131st district ’til 2014, no? *** FORGETABOUTIT ***
Rob Traber hit the nail right on the head. If we are to turn this city around we have to rely on ourselves, not outsiders. The problem is the machine controls the Board of Education.
Max Medina very eloquently stated that secrecy and conspiracy rule the day within the Finch Administration. He’s got my vote if he wants to run for mayor again.
Today was a victory. It feels good.
