Evidence Ends In Democratic Primary Challenge

Attorney William Bloss, representing mayoral candidate John Gomes, on Thursday rested his case challenging Mayor Joe Ganim’s 251-vote Democratic primary win.

Lawyers for the defense also rested without rebuttal.

Superior Court Judge William Clark asked for filing of written briefs on October 25. It’s unclear if the judge will issue a decision prior to the Nov. 7 general election. Either way, the losing side will appeal to the Connecticut Supreme Court.
