A complaint has been filed with the State Elections Enforcement Commission against Mark Bradley, a Democratic candidate for Bridgeport judge of probate, who has voted flagrantly in multiple city elections since 2018 while also simultaneously casting ballots in the state of Massachusetts as a registered Republican, according to records provided by respective election officials.
Court records also show that he has established a clear residency in Massachusetts under his own signature while also enrolled in the state of Massachusetts healthcare program. His children also attend school in Massachusetts.
While voting in Bridgeport multiple times over the past eight years, the start of which was on behalf of his brother, former State Senator Dennis Bradley, Mark Bradley also did not register a motor vehicle in Bridgeport until it coincided recently with his formal candidacy for judge of probate, avoiding car taxes paid to the city.
Dennis Bradley, awaiting sentencing, was recently convicted by a federal jury in New Haven on six counts of wire fraud connected to his 2018 run for the state legislature. The charges cost him his senate seat in a 2022 primary loss to Herron Gaston.
Mark Bradley, who is challenging long-time Democratic incumbent Paul Ganim in an August primary, had a sparsely attended first fundraiser in Bridgeport last week with just a few dozen in attendance when the early money is the easiest in political campaigns.
The election-watchdog complaint was filed by Tom Gecewicz, the city’s former health director, and current member of the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee who was raised in Massachusetts.
Bradley is also in the throes of a probate battle in Massachusetts accused of child-payment arrears, falsifying financial statements to camouflage earnings, his own lawyer withdrawing from the case because he made “material misrepresentations” and a Massachusetts judge placing into question the future of his law license and referral to the state body that investigates complaints against lawyers in Massachusetts.
The core role of probate judge includes executing wills and estates, distribution of assets to heirs, appointment of guardians for minors and appointing conservators for adults who cannot manage their own finances or personal care.

Thanks to Tom G for uncovering this blatant disregard for the basic rules of an election. The basic rule that you must qualify!
This Mark Bradley appears to be a real train wreck. How can a person practicing law be so unhinged that he believed that he could pull this off.
Looks like Bridgeport will dodge a bullet and Dennis and Mark Bradley may be going away on the family plan.
Thank you to Tom Gecewicz for his curiosity, ‘nose for newsworthy’ items, and uncovering facts that appear to provide sufficient evidence of political activity that is illegal.
In which State does Mark Bradley, Esq., reside today? Assuming that primary and permanent residence is asked for as a basis for running for election or appointed office, why is a State system of registration used as basis that might allow for registration in more than one US location?
The election chaos, including “do-overs” elections, indictments, and court trials has persisted for years now. Changing the laws of the land likely will not change the culture, until there is enforcement power that commands respect, and we process forward, with ever increasing voter registration, plus actual ballots cast, by informed voters, that will command respect and trust from citizens. That is a partial prescription for the elements of what may work to regain pride in the system of how the voice from voters restores a participatory and democratic community. Time will tell.
