City Council To Vote On Spending Plan For July 1 Budget Year

The City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday to ratify a spending plan adopted by the Budget & Appropriations Committee for the fiscal year starting July 1 that drops the tax rate from roughly 43 mills to about 28, the lowest rate in more than 50 years.

The change is driven by a revaluation of taxable property that will see sizable increases in property values. Some homeowners will experience a drop in their tax bills, with some increasing modestly and others staying about the same, according to city finance officials.

The budget also includes a historic investment increase in schools, expanded senior citizen tax relief and free park passes for city residents

  1. Come on, Lennie, those posts were relevant. 🙂 Let me restate my thoughts. 🙂

Does anyone get the vibe WEEPA’s em dash handlers/gthost /writers have come to the rational conclusion that he is not fit, prime to be a figurehead and lead the Port public persona, and John G and G2 are going to have a rematch, based on his repost and ‘Let’s go, John Gomes’ heading.

    What say you, WEEPA?

That being said, if Lamont brushes up on his public speaking/debating skills, he could win over the Independents and Republicans, who may be looking for a change/break from Trump to realign the party, Trump?

They let you have money and an 8-bathroom dwelling, employ a public speaking coach and campaign strategist to sharpen your public speaking skills and persona 🙂

  2. John L, you seemed to be in attendance at said event with John. Is your neighbor, Gomes, running, and has he attended any of your Civic Casual Conversations?
