  1. This was e-mailed from John Gilmore, a former Bridgeport Post reporter and friend of Bob Pelton:

I am in Texas and locked out. Please post for me.

Long before People’s got involved with the museum, there was Bob.

Long before young reporters understood city political history, there was Bob.

Long before being a city booster was “au courant,” there was Bob.

RIP, Bob. You will be missed.

  2. *** Sorry to hear about Mr. Pelton. ***
Moving on to a BOE question; Is the BOE the only ones that will be located in the Bodine building? If someone else then who? And how is Mr. Crossin related in the overall outcome of this deal if it goes through? Will he have an office there? Also there are rumors 1 of the BOE members wants to leave the board & go back to the city council? Rumors all of course, however inquiring minds would like to know! *** OIB ***

  3. Well Mojo, let’s see if I can be of service to your questions:

Only the BOE would be moving to Mt. Grove St, all of the BOE including security under one VERY expensive roof, also the warehouse and the book dept including the $90,000-a-year head of the book dept who now will be a $90,000-a-year secretary.

Leticia Colon has wanted out of the BOE since the second she got in and lost out on being the president.

Crossin is a Finch/Bellinger/Stafstrom lemming and will do what he is told to do, no mind of his own. No office needed at the BOE taj mahal for that.

NOT NICE TO FOOL MOTHER NATURE, but BPT voters are easy fools.

  5. For all friends of Candy and Bob Pelton, there will be a wake a Pistey’s funeral home in Stratford on Friday (22nd) and the funeral will be Saturday (23rd) at St. Augustine’s in Bridgeport. I know Candy would appreciate seeing her many friends from the City.
