Cecelia Callaway, daughter of the legendary Cab Callaway, is scheduled to appear at the Blues Brothers tribute spectacular this Friday at the Klein to raise moolah for a city police memorial.
Gene O’Neill, retired city police sergeant, and Lisa Miro, director of Business Outreach for the city, have lined up quite a show featuring Blues Patrol, a Blues Brothers tribute band. Cecilia Callaway is a singer who performs dad’s songs. Cab strutted Minnie The Moocher in the film version of the Blues Brothers.
The event will take place at the Klein Memorial, 910 Fairfield Ave., on Friday, June 24th. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
O’Neill and Miro have been working with local police union officials for a police memorial dedicated to members of the Bridgeport Police Department that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The memorial is slated to be built across from Bridgeport Police Headquarters at 300 Congress St.
Tickets available for $25 plus $3 convenience fee at the following locations: Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford Street, Fairfield; Bridgeport Police Department 300 Congress Street; City Hall Annex 999 Broad Street.
