Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is pleased to announce the birth of a black-handed spider monkey on December 18, 2025.
Just in time for the holidays, the zoo has a new face to welcome! 🐒✨
One of our spider monkeys has welcomed a new baby, and guests may already spot this tiny newcomer clinging close as mom moves through her habitat.
While this is a joyful time, the first few weeks of life are especially delicate and can be unpredictable. We kindly ask that guests help create a calm and respectful environment by keeping voices low and giving mom and baby quiet time as you visit.
