A new Barnum Festival Great Street Parade route, commencing at Brooklawn and North to north on Park Avenue to Capital, attracted thousands of spectators on a sunny day.

Grand Marshal Gina Malheiro brought out in force a spirited Portuguese community.
Chief Roderick Porter, right, and a contingent of police officers fronted the parade. Chief received numerous positive shout outs.
Ringmaster Tom McCarthy, former City Council president, regaled the crowd with his Irish-heritage colors.
Thousands lined both sides of Park Avenue from North to Capitol.

Governor Ned Lamont and Congressman Jim Himes on Park Avenue.
